Fostering Goodwill Between Jewish People and Rural America

Building Bridges of Goodwill and Mutual Benefit

The Jewish Foundation for Rural Communities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to foster goodwill between Jewish people and rural communities, creating pathways for both groups to support and benefit from one another.

The foundation focuses on:

  • Providing financial assistance to rural organizations like 4-H clubs and Future Farmers of America

  • Offering scholarships and funds to support small businesses in rural areas

  • Showcasing the Jewish community’s tradition of giving and contributing to society

  • Inspiring Jewish individuals to engage in acts of kindness and support for others

By offering assistance to rural communities, the foundation aims to create opportunities, build deeper connections, and promote mutual respect and understanding.

Community Outreach

The foundation’s initial outreach focuses on Rotary clubs in rural areas. As a fellow Rotarian, Dan Bernbaum plans to share the foundation’s goals and discuss how it can assist local communities. The funds, primarily donated by Jewish donors, will be used to address the most pressing needs in these areas. Although resources are limited, the foundation strives to make a meaningful impact wherever possible.

A Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, the foundation envisions expanding its reach and growing its team of staff and volunteers. With the support of donors, the foundation can extend its impact to more rural communities across the country, creating lasting partnerships that benefit everyone.

The success of this initiative depends on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we can bring positive change and strengthen the bonds between Jewish people and rural communities.
