It’s Time For A Fresh Approach To Fighting Antisemitism
A Message From Our Founder
Hello, my name is Dan Bernbaum, and I created the nonprofit Jewish Foundation for Rural Communities because I believe it’s time for a fresh approach to reducing antisemitism.
My mother was from a small Polish town surrounded by rural communities during WWII. Many of the local rural people risked their lives to hide and save Jewish children. This foundation is my way of honoring those brave individuals and paying forward our appreciation to today’s rural neighbors.
Our mission is simple: build bridges of goodwill by supporting rural communities through scholarships, funding for small businesses, and help with expenses for programs like 4-H and Future Farmers of America.
By showing up in tangible ways, we hope rural communities will experience firsthand the generosity and positive impact the Jewish community has long brought to society. At the same time, we aim to inspire Jewish individuals to extend their hands in kindness and support even further.
Our first outreach goal is visiting Rotary Clubs in rural areas, where I will personally share how we can assist their communities with funds donated primarily by Jewish supporters. As a former Rotarian, I have deep ties and influence in this community.
This is just the beginning. With your help, we can grow our reach and expand the impact.
Let’s build something meaningful—together.

Community Outreach
The Jewish Foundation for Rural Communities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to foster goodwill between Jewish people and rural communities, creating pathways for both groups to support and benefit from one another.
The foundation focuses on:
Providing financial assistance to rural organizations like 4-H clubs and Future Farmers of America
Offering scholarships and funds to support small businesses in rural areas
Showcasing the Jewish community’s tradition of giving and contributing to society
Inspiring Jewish individuals to engage in acts of kindness and support for others
By offering assistance to rural communities, the foundation aims to create opportunities, build deeper connections, and promote mutual respect and understanding.
A Vision for the Future
Looking ahead, the foundation envisions expanding its reach and growing its team of staff and volunteers. With the support of donors, the foundation can extend its impact to more rural communities across the country, creating lasting partnerships that benefit everyone.
The success of this initiative depends on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and supporters. Together, we can bring positive change and strengthen the bonds between Jewish people and rural communities.
As a 501c3, we are 100% tax deductible.
We rely on our donors and friends to spread the message. Please share our mission with other people who will resonate.
